Full-Time | Permanent | Senior Leadership Opportunity
Join a forward-thinking leadership team delivering high-quality, community-focused healthcare through innovative home-based and ambulatory models. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Director of Nursing to lead the strategic direction, development, and implementation of the Care@Home program. This role provides executive leadership and governance across community and home-based care services, with a focus on improving health outcomes for people with chronic and complex conditions such as COPD, heart failure, and diabetes-related complications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of safe, high-quality nursing care through innovative care-at-home models
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across multidisciplinary teams and health networks
- Manage workforce planning, service performance, and budget oversight
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders across community, hospital, and mental health services
- Ensure the Care@Home program meets safety, quality, and professional standards
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, staff development, and clinical innovation
About You
You are a senior nursing leader with:
- Extensive experience in nursing and health service leadership within complex systems
- A proven track record in strategic planning, clinical governance, and workforce development
- Strong change management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Commitment to innovation, equity, and best practice care delivery
- Ability to drive transformation aligned with state and national health reform agendas
Mandatory Requirements
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse
- Comprehensive understanding of healthcare governance, safety, and quality standards
- Demonstrated senior leadership experience in community or hospital-based services
Desirable
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
What’s On Offer
- Salary: $198,428 + 11.5% superannuation + leave loading
- Work type: Full-time, permanent (76 hours per fortnight)
- Relocation allowance: Up to $15,000 (interstate), $10,000 (overseas)
