About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and committed Clinical Nurse Supervisor to join a dynamic team. This role combines clinical excellence with leadership responsibilities, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and team performance. You will play a key role in managing day-to-day clinical operations, staff coordination, and adherence to protocols while maintaining a supportive environment for patient safety and staff development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage clinical and administrative operations independently
- Coordinate shifts and manage staff performance to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Handle emergency situations such as adverse reactions, adverse events, and fire evacuation procedures
- Ensure proper collection, processing, storage, and tracking of biological samples
- Deliver training and professional development to nursing staff
- Adhere to good clinical practice guidelines and documentation protocols
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Registered Nurse accredited by AHPRA (Division 1)
- Minimum 3 years post-graduate experience in a hospital setting
- At least 1 year of experience in staff management and shift coordination
- Acute care experience in high-acuity settings such as CCU/ICU
- Exceptional organisational, communication, and time management skills
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Desirable:
- Knowledge of local and international good clinical practice guidelines
- Experience in venepuncture, peripheral cannulation, and central venous access
- Formal training in emergency resuscitation procedures
