Short-Term Contract (4-6 Weeks) with Potential for Long-Term/Permanent Opportunity

Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Surgical Registered Nurse to join their growing team, with an initial short-term contract of 4-6 weeks and the possibility of transitioning to a long-term or permanent role.

 

The Position

As the Registered Nurse you are responsible for:

  • Provide comprehensive; pre, intra, and post-operative care to all patients who have had surgical procedures
  • Work collaboratively with Skin cancer doctors to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical procedure experience
  • Scrub and participate in sterile procedures, confidently assisting Skin cancer doctors with instruments and supplies
  • Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of aseptic technique and sterile field maintenance
  • Assess and manage wounds using advanced dressing techniques to promote optimal healing
  • Educate patients and families about pre and post-operative care procedures
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control guidelines.

Located in a convenient suburban area of Adelaide's northeast. Situated in a local shopping precinct, this location offers easy access to nearby amenities, including cafes, restaurants, and essential services. It’s well-connected by public transport and provides ample parking for staff and visitors. The clinic’s setting combines the tranquility of suburban life with the convenience of being only a short drive from Adelaide’s city center.

 

Essential Criteria

  • Current AHPRA Registration
  • Surgical ward experience
  • Strong understanding of surgical procedures and aseptic techniques
  • Demonstrated expertise in advanced wound care and dressing techniques
  • Wound care/skin qualifications or certificates (desirable)
